WHO’S UP FOR A LITTLE EXCITEMENT…

…of the armchair variety, that is?

Whilst waiting for some paper to dry (can’t do my usual put-it-out-in-the-sun trick ‘cos it’s drizzly) I opened the “secret doorway” in my computer monitor and went wandering around the world, looking for some light entertainment.

And, being a considerate sort, I’m sharing my adventures.

Who likes what we used to call “variety acts”? The sort of show we’d take Granny to see.

Not quite the ferret- down- the -trousers, is it!

Maybe we should take Granny for a nice, quiet drive in the country…

A cup of tea and a bite to eat, perhaps?

Then again…maybe not. You’ll excuse me if I make this a short post, but I still feel queasy!

the last part of that should be ” insect-fare/ ” Blogger chopped it off!

Since the comments so far are about that road (road? what road -that’s a track!), I thought I’d mention a TV programme I saw recently. About a similar road in Colombia. The focus was on a grandmother who drives a BIG TRUCK up and down a road like that. She says her “heart condition” does not like the lowland climate! And she carries a (legal) bag of coca leaves to munch so she doesn’t nod off. I was sitting in a big ol’ comfy armchair and my knees were having serious wobblers just watching!

  1. I watched the first two but I think I’ll pass on the third… That road is amazing. I couldn’t do it. I had enough trouble with maniac coach drivers in the Greek mountains (everyone on the bus was sick except me as I don’t get motion sick) not to mention the road we took throught the mountains here in August where there had been a slide and it was only cleared up enough for one car to pass. We had to back up at one point.

I think I’ll lie on the floor now.

  5. You’re right … not quite the variety act that my grandmother used to love. 😉

And talking of ferrets, my nephew has 3 and they run up and down his pants all the time (they bite!) but I guess that’s better than a scorpion!

  6. that road’s a bit like watching an England v Oz Rugby game – my nails (which I had grown ‘specially) are down to the quick, but WE WON!
