Not eligible to vote, but affected by every move the country makes, I would like to thank all those Americans who, this year, stood in line, sometimes in bitter cold, to tell their leaders it was time for change.

  6. I would hope that by “inspirational” you mean “competent” but judging by the results here at home, that doesn’t seem to have the weight it should.

  9. melanie…it’s been a long time since NZ was “inspired” and even competence seems to come from a foreign lexicon. But we hope!

    kate…I think we all hope for improvement. Difficult, but it can be done.Of course, the Oval Office encumbent can’t do this alone. The rest of the world must pitch in.
    But the draconian Californian laws could be a starting point!
