THE GAUNTLET IS DOWN!

The policy of laisser faire has not worked.

Threats and harsh language have had similar non-effects.

The dust bunnies  have formed an alliance with the spiders and have crossed the border.

This,  I’m afraid, means war.

I may be beyond wifi reach as I battle to contain this encroachment* and still meet deadlines.

Send vinous assistance!

Besoms!

Sadie?

A platoon of Sadies?

*Let’s not even think about the middle syllable of that word!

  3. Sigh… laissez faire hasn’t worked here either.

Didn’t start the new sketching regime but the bathroom and kitchen are respectable again. Wish I’d gone out sketching… I will, I will…

  5. Dust bunnies joining forces with spiders? I’m a bit over my 8-legged friends I’m afraid. I imagine you must have hordes of them too. And scorpions, I’ve never seen so many. In the house, the garden – for the first time in my life I’m wearing gloves when gardening, as much for the funnel webs as the scorpions. Good luck with the housework.

  7. Hahahaha! Good luck with the encroaching madness! Once they obtain sentience things get really dicey.

  8. carol…strangely, I haven’t seen scorpions up here and none of those enormous Huntsman chaps, but the little spiders just LOVE the levers on the louvres.(Sounds like something from Cole Porter!)

    ziggi…brilliant 🙂

  10. m…I know what they mean now about “breeding like bunnies.” When the wind blows them across the polished floor they keep getting bigger, like tumbleweeds, and The Man calls them “tumblefluff.”

  13. It’s funny how our lives are in tandem right now. Your dust bunnies look like mine. I’ve put off vacuuming way too long (preferring to spend my spare time doing more interesting things) and even keeping the lighting low isn’t hiding them anymore. But my friend with 2 dogs said what I’ve got is nothing compared to the shedding one dog does in a couple days. Off to vacuum…

  14. jana…it would probably be worse if we had carpet! And at least I now have a “spare” hoover so when I pull mine’s filters apart I can use The Man’s car cleaner!
