Moreidlethoughts Weblog

humour, art, gardens, books and whatever idle thoughts float through my mind (it's a very draughty mind.)

Please bear with me, folks, while I do a little “housekeeping” and dump some old files and re-sort others.

The third letter of our conventional alphabet is C.

C for Car

C for Computer

C for Cat.

Yes, Dinah had the trifecta.

Car is ok until the next scheduled service. tick

Computer has been scrubbed with Lysol (or the hi-tech equivalent) and its nasties flushed down the cyber-drain. Peripheral housekeeping is, of course, my province… tick

Cat has spent a day with the vet and is now also ok (and demanding I hand over the keyboard!) Β tick

Not much, you think? Well, perhaps not, but I do have a few other things requiring my attention. Not least getting around all the lovely blogs I’ve missed this week!

I’ll leave you with just a teeny taste of one of the things…

Why, yes! I do have some pictures on my camera. After the housework, OK?

  1. Well done! I knew that my methodical approach would rub off on you.

  2. Vicus…goodness, you were prompt!Yes, I did think of you when I was muttering cuss words because one of the deleted files was for a rather tasty balti.

  3. I’m a bit lost trying to follow the thread of this, but it seems that your car is a Ford Mustang so your street cred must be stratospheric and I’m very envious (of the car, not necessarily the street cred).

    • Christopher, welcome! And, yes, it is difficult to follow comment threads sometimes…but my Significant Other(once upon a time we’d have said boyfriend or lover…) does have a classic muscle car. A ’65 Ford 289 Mustang. And he thought it’d be a fun day if other Mustang owners could be at the aero club when the ‘plane was there. Me? Hey! I cut my teeth on Capt. W.E.Johns so I was there! And Vicus? Ah, well…what can I do but agree with him!

  4. Oh blimey, I had to look trifecta up…

  5. I’m just relieved that nothing dreadful’s happened!

  6. My jaw is still tired from the Bahn Mi. Also it’s hard to keep sliced grape tomatoes on a baguette. I think I need more practice.

    Glad to see you back.

  7. m.heart…tomatoes-on-a-baguette – not an elegant image, is it! πŸ˜‰

  8. So pleased everything seems to be resolved without too much pain. Pity about the lost files. I’ve just lost a week but think I’m back on track now.

  9. Ha! I knew I’d read this earlier in the week and hadn’t been polite enough to comment. Got my politeness back at 1am my time and maybe even enough wit about me to say something interesting.
Looking forward to reading what the cat has to say and am wondering if it wasn’t said cat who sabotaged the computer in frustration after all…

  10. Ange…welcome. And thankyou. You may be right about cat sabotage – I didn’t think of that! πŸ˜‰
But perhaps she’ll write something on the cat’s’ blog while I try to do some artwork…

  11. Maybe you just need to leave a treat or two or a glass of champagne near the cat’s blog so you can get your artwork done. This has not worked for me yet with my children – but we live in hope πŸ˜‰ Looking forward to seeing more artwork and thank you for your lovely comment the other day!

  12. Hope that your troubles are not increased by the end of this week!

    • Well, I’m hoping they a) find the lost phone or b) get to an internet cafe today to finalise things. Looking forward to it.But, wouldn’t you know it – it’s bloody raining today!

  13. Peripheral housekeeping is, of course, my province…

i LOVE this! thanks for stopping by, sugar! i’ll have to stop in more often and i do hope y’all will visit again! xoox

    • savannah…welcome back! We got lost somewhere…all sorted now and good to see you here again. And with the sexy coiffure πŸ™‚

  14. I’m carefully not looking up trifecta. I’m at that time in a man’s life when hypochrondria does funny things to a chap.

    • Kevin…welcome. Ah, yes, the masculine equivalent of hormonal heatwaves. Best spend your pennies on other things, then.;-)
